About Air Niugini

Air Niugini, the national airline of Papua New Guinea, was incepted in the year 1973. With a fleet size of 26 aircraft, the air carrier takes flight to and from 39 destinations across Asia, Australia and Oceania. The headquarters of the airline is based in Port Moresby while Jacksons International Airport serves as its main operational hub. Destinations is the frequent flyer program of the air carrier which rewards the loyalty of passengers by rendering them Destination Points that cannot only be availed on Air Niugini tickets but also on car hire, hotel stay and similar travel related stuff. The airline strives to provide safe, cost effective and reliable air travel to passengers and is determined to become the premier regional air carrier in Papua New Guinea.

BAGGAGE POLICY 

The airline allows its Economy Class passengers to bring one piece of carry-on baggage with them in the cabin of the aircraft, the dimensions of which must be at most 40 inches while having weight not more than 15 lbs. Passengers flying via Business Class, however, can carry 2 pieces of cabin baggage with their total weight not exceeding 30 lbs and linear dimensions within 20 x 12 x 8 inches. A personal item (handbag, camera, blanket and things alike) is also permitted to be carried in the flight.

Concerning the Checked Baggage, all the passengers flying to/from North America can check in 2 pieces of in-hold luggage as long as the total dimensions of each piece do not exceed 62 inches. There is a weight limit as well, that is, no piece of checked-in must weigh more than 70 lbs and 51 lbs in Business and Economy Class respectively.
