Lao Airlines, the national carrier of Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), was founded in the year 1976. Courtesy of its fleet which contains 11 aircraft, the air carrier extends its services to international destinations in addition to the domestic ones. With its headquarters based out of Vientiane in Laos, Wattay International Airport and Luang Prabang International Airport function as the main operating hubs for the air carrier. BAGGAGE POLICY

The airline allows each of its passengers to bring one cabin bag as well as an additional carry-on item in the cabin of the aircraft. Each piece of cabin bag must fulfill the weight and size requirements, that is, maximum 15 lbs and 12 x 24 x 7 inches respectively. The additional carry-on item may include a handbag, overcoat, umbrella or blanket.

In regard to the Checked Baggage, free baggage allowance is provided to passengers as per their travel class. Passengers traveling in Business Class are entitled to check in luggage weighing up to 66 lbs whereas Economy Class travelers can send baggage having weight not more than 44 lbs into the hold of the aircraft.
