Since its inception in the year 1997, Qatar Airways has grown by leaps and bounds in the span of 22 years. Courtesy of it flying to over 160 destinations across all six continents, the air carrier is reckoned one of the youngest global airlines. Being the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, headquarters of the airline are based out of Qatar Airways Towers in Doha and its main hub is located at Hamad International Airport. On account of its massive fleet size of 233 aircraft and exceptional in-flight services, more and more passengers have been making their travel plans via Qatar Airways flights. Having bagged loads of accolades and rewards, the airline has made a name for itself in the aviation industry.
Passengers are permitted to bring hand baggage in addition to a personal item with them in the cabin of the aircraft as long as the former adheres to all the requirements. Passengers flying via First Class and Business Class can bring 2 pieces of carry-on with their total weight not exceeding 33 lb while Economy Class passengers are allowed to bring one piece of carry-on weighing up to 15 lb. Each hand bag, however, must have dimensions less than 20 x 15 x 10 inches to be accepted in the airplane cabin.
Regarding Checked Baggage, First Class and Business Class passengers can check-in 2 pieces of luggage and each of them must weigh less than 70 lb with linear dimensions at most 62 inches. Passengers flying via Economy Class are also allowed to bring 2 pieces of in-hold luggage but each bag must have weight at most 50 lb and linear dimensions less than 62 inches.
