South African Airways, founded in 1934, is the flag carrier of South Africa. Its headquarters are located in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. With about 51 aircraft in its fleet, the airline serves around 42 destinations speckled all across the globe. BAGGAGE POLICY

Business Class passengers with South African Airways flight tickets are allowed to bring along two pieces of carry-on baggage, while Economy Class passengers are allowed to bring along one piece of carry-on baggage. The maximum weight limit per bag is 18 lb. The dimensions of each of the bags should not be more than 22 x 14 x 9 inches. In addition to this, passengers are also allowed to bring along a personal item as carry-on.      

Business Class passengers are allowed to take along two pieces of checked baggage. The weight of each of the bag should not be more than 70 lb. Economy Class passengers are allowed to take along one piece of baggage, the weight of which does not exceed 51 lb. The linear dimension of each of the checked baggage cannot be more than 62 inches.
